Obituary
Elvin Hill Jr. was born on October 4, 1990, to Florence Thompson and Elvin Hill Sr. in Houston, Texas He was the youngest of two children.
He attended Welch Middle School where played Football, Basketball, and Archery. He graduated from Worthing High School where he played football.
He was baptized at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was the first youth to join the Usher Board. He also sang in the Choir and his favorite song was, "Stomp" by Kirk Franklin. He loved to say his Easter and Christmas speeches. He always wanted to know what color suit he was going to wear.
Elvin started working at an early age. His first job was at Pizza Hut. Then he started working for Quality Welding, he said he loved the money, but he didn't like getting dirty. He worked for the City of Houston for 3 years.
He loved his Mother and Aunt Pat, if his Mother said, "no" then Aunt Pat would say, "yes." If that failed then his big sister Shalanda would say, "yes." He loved his cousins, Joseph and Calvin and his best friend for life, Major. If you saw one you saw the other.
On August 23, 2019, God called his golden boy home. He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Hill Sr.: one sister, Tonya Hill; great-grandmother, Rosa Lee Tatum and grandfather, Jesse Bush.
He leaves to cherish: his mother, Florence Thompson; brothers, Septein Sr. and Kirk Jackson; grandmother, Jesse Lee Jackson;
grandfather, Nathan Hill; nephews(sons), Septein, Jr. Brandon (he always said he had his children. He loved, spent time and took care of them.); uncle, Joseph Jr.;aunt, Sondra Jackson; great aunts, Patsey Williams and Ann Morgan; great uncles, Paul Bush, Jessie Bush and John Bush; honorary sister, Shalanda Williams; and host of cousins, many other relatives and friends.
