On the blessed day of June 20, 1968, a King was born to Eunice Mae King and Lonzo Jackson, they named this King: Alonzo Jackson Tillis. Who would then proceed to be known as Mr. Zo/ The Realist King in H-Town. Mr. Zo is well known on every street in Houston for his generosity, loyalty, realness, entertainment, slabs and most importantly his play ways. Mr. Zo gave his life to Christ at a young age while having a strong love for God and also rededicated his life to Christ again February 9, 2025, when he was baptized. We cherish the memories that we have all shared with the King.
Mr. Zo was a man of respect, honor, and loyalty. To know him was to understand a life well lived—a life defined by his deep sense of integrity, humor, and the wisdom he imparted to those fortunate enough to learn the game from him.
Mr. Zo had a personality that those closest to him held dear. He wasn’t someone who wore his emotions on his sleeve, but for those who knew him, his actions spoke volumes. He was a man who lived by a code—one of loyalty and honesty. It was always about doing things the right way, about making sure that when you played the game, you played it with honor. A man that shined even without trying.
He was a true teacher in the game, always offering raw guidance. For Mr. Zo, giving the game the right way meant showing people how to move through life with dignity and respect. That’s the legacy he leaves behind---the lessons of fairness, always being true, and generosity.
Mr. Zo will be remembered not just for the respect he gave to others, but for the respect he earned. He was a man who carried himself with dignity, who always treated others as equals, and who made an indelible mark on the hearts of all who met him. His legacy lives on, not just in the lessons he taught, but in the Kings and Queens who carry his bloodline, continuing his name and his values with pride.
Today, as we remember Mr. Zo, let us not just grieve his passing, but also celebrate the life he led. Alife that showed us the true meaning of respect, loyalty, and love. And though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in every life he touched.
Rest in Peace Mr. Zo. Your legacy will continue to guide us, forever. Now picture him rolling!
Mr. Zo leaves love for his Kings and Queen; Alonzo, Dedoe, Marcus, Daniel, Donnie, Dorretta, DeAndria, Kiandra, Poodie, Brad, Hali, Traveon, Tyra, Kendrick, Knowledge and also a heart full of grandchildren.
