HIS LIFE STORY
Clyde Thomas Quinan was born to the union of Sam Quinan, Sr. and Roberta Foster Quinan on March 13, 1953, in Sugarland, Texas. He grew up in the Sugar Land area where he graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in 1971. He attended Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized at an early age. Clyde was a very fun-loving, charismatic, kindhearted person with a contagious smile. Clyde had a generous heart and would help anyone in need. Clyde was a true cowboy who loved to ride horses, enjoyed trail riding, and cook-outs.
Clyde departed this life on the evening of March 10, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father (Sam Quinan, Sr.), sister (Betty Joyce Quinan), and nephew (Sam Quinan III). He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Roberta Foster Quinan; children, Latisha Major (Delwin), Clyde Thomas Bartley, Jermaine Bartley, and Moquita Quinan; grandchildren, Joshua, Lauryn, Kaleb, Kyle (Latisha), DeonDre, Mia (Clyde, Jr.), Jermaine Jr., Kaylee, and Kylie (Jermaine); brother, Sam Quinan, Jr. (Earnestine); aunts, Betty Jean Riggins of Denver, Colorado and Cornelia Gates of Altadena, California.; nieces, Demetria Rutherford (Chad), Kendell Quinan, and Angela Allen (Sean); devoted friend Barbara Jackson; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
