Mr. Floyd Joseph Obituary

Floyd Anthony Joseph, a proud native of Houston, Texas, was born on May 28, 1955, to Floyd H. and Gloria Warner Joseph He received his early education in Houston's Third Ward, attending Turner Elementary and Miller Junior High, and graduated with honors from the illustrious Jack Yates Senior High School, Class of 1973.
Floyd pursued higher education at Williams College In Williamstown, Massachusetts and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston - Main Campus in 1983.
Floyd was baptized and lived a life rooted in quiet strength, curiosity, and compassion. He was a passionate reader across all genres and an avid chess enthusiast. A love for video games -especially Pokémon-was sparked by his sons and became a cherished way to bond with them, especially Clifton, as they attended many tournaments together across the city.
In December 1979, Floyd married his high school sweetheart, Cecilia Land. Their loving union was blessed with three sons Floyd Anthoney III, Clifton LaSalle (Deceased), and Christopher Wiley.
Floyd's professional career led him to become a certified Paralegal, a role in which he served with integrity and dedication. He worked for Haynes and Boone, LLP for ten years and later joined The Friedkin Group, from which he retired in 2020. He was also a part time employee at Macy's Department store.
Floyd leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Cecitia Land Joseph; his two sons, Floyd Anthoney (Michelle) and Christopher Wiley; and his grandsons: Lincoln, Truman, and Hayes, his loving parents, Floyd H. and Gloria Wamer Joseph and his sister and best friend, Marilyn Moore.
He is also survived by his nephews, Steven and Terrance Moore; his god daughters, Monica Hatter-Mayes and Jayme Kimbrough his aunt, Gayle Wilmore (Karl); his uncle, Wiley Warner, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved son, Clifton LaSalle Joseph.
