On September 2, 1949, Frank Horton Jr., was born in Laneville, TX to Frank and Cora Bell
Horton.

school and graduated from Arp High School in 1969. He later moved to Greenville, TX where he

Frank grew up in the Church of God in Christ.
Lovingly referred to as a mama’s boy, Frank always tried to imitate her on her fasting days;
declaring he wouldn’t eat until mom ate.
He was a quiet gentle spirit, and he always wore the biggest smile. Frank never missed an
opportunity to barbecue for the family reunion, because he felt no one could do it better than he
could. He loved football, and it was no secret he was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Affectionately known as Paw Paw, Frank was a devoted family man who took excellent care of
his wife, children, grandchildren and immediate family members. It goes without saying he loved
his brothers and was especially protective of his sisters.
On June 20, 1975, Frank married the love of his life, Carolyn Holmes. To this union there were
five children: Anthony, Shandra, Constance, Levar, and Cameron.
