Mr. John C. Platt

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Charles Platt, a devoted husband, loving
father, and esteemed Army veteran. John was born on January 30, 1984, in Houston, TX to John Robert Platt
and Toni Angelo. He attended Elkins High School.

John enlisted in the United States Army in 2003, answering the call to serve his country with honor and
dedication. John was a veteran and served 2 terms of the 2 nd Gulf War and the War on Terror. John was honored
for outstanding service through training and combat. From the NCO’s, Paratroopers and officers of C Co 1-508
Parachute Infantry Regiment 3rd PLT. His dedication to duty will be greatly missed. “Fury from the Sky!”
“Airborne!” “All the way!”

On March 7, 2024, John married Faiza, and together they built a life filled with love and joy. John was a great
father to their children Adam and Maya. John was a dedicated family man, always putting his loved ones first
and cherishing the time spent with them.

Tragically, Sargent John Charles Platt died on March 5, 2025, in Pearland, TX at the age of 41 due to
Underlying Medical Issues.

John’s legacy is one of courage, devotion, and unwavering love for his family and country. He will be deeply
missed by his wife, children, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
