Kelvin Leonard was born on December 20, 1982, in Houston, Texas, to Danny and Sandra Leonard as the second son after Marcus and older brother of Candace. He graduated from Humble High School in 2001 and Prairie View A&M University in 2013.
Kelvin’s passion was the arts. He collected Criterion Collection films/movies from the 1920s through current times. He was also a natural historian who loved film history, culinary history, and political history. Kelvin was avid in learning about cooking and had numerous books on all aspects of cooking in his library. He traveled to various locations for film festivals and Radio Head concerts.
Kelvin’s gift was giving. It was his lifestyle. He looked for opportunities to share what he had and share about the great deals/finds he made. His motto was “Never Pay Full Price.” He would see a need and he did everything within his power to take care of that need.
He was a man of compassion. Kelvin deeply loved his family and friends; he gave selflessly to them. It was his pleasure to prepare special meals, buy gifts/treats if you said you liked something, or show up for a special occasion even if he didn’t physically feel like it.
Kelvin rededicated his life to the Lord on July 26, 2009. He became a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and transitioned to his new home on Sunday, June 22, 2025. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who loved him.
The burial will follow directly after the funeral services at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Houston, TX. The repast dinner will be held at Legacy Palace and Events Center in Humble, TX.
