Mr. Oreal Peter Babineaux Jr.

Obituary

Peter Oreal Babineaux, Jr. was born in Houston, TX and was the only child to the late Elmina Key and Peter Oreal Babineaux, Sr. He attended Forest Brook High School where he played in the band. He played the saxophone and guitar. After graduating High School he attended the Police Academy and served the UHD System Police Department for 25 years. He was a Sargent at the time of his retirement. After leaving the police department he went to the Media Tech Institute where he received his Audio Engineering Certification. He partnered with other promoters and started Knights of Osaris. He was a member of the Grammy Recording Academy where he attended functions networking with other recording artist. He traveled and worked concerts of various recording artist from Marilyn McCoo and Billie Davis, Jr., Frankie Beverly, Willie Nelson, Pattie LaBelle and many other as well. He also participated in the Chopper Law music video filmed here in Houston, Texas. He currently has music he composed in the Music of Congress Library to be distributed by CD Baby distribution upon release. Besides his love for music, Oreal loved people, traveling and having fun. Hawaii became of his favorite places to visit. He helped mentor and was an inspiration to the careers of his friends who became Police officers and even went as far as mentoring Girl Scouts . He had a loving heart always willing to help others with a loving and kind heart. After a lengthy courtship of  years Oreal and Schrhonda Compton married on September 27, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral. They always kept God first in their marriage and were very active in church, they shared a lot of fun memories and adventures together.

He was preceded in death by his mother Elmina Key Babineaux, his father Oreal Babineaux, Sr., and grandparents.

He will be missed by his loving wife Schrhonda; father in law Joseph Compton (Georgia) sister in law Alicia Foster (Leroy); aunts Irene Lavergne (Theogne), Catherine Guidry (Envin), Madeline Gallien; Aldon Babineaux (Ivy), Donald Babineaux (Caroline), Irvin Babineaux; In Laws Harold Caziere (Paula), Charles Caziere (Hazel), Lou Caziere, Faye Sims, Josephine Baily, Horace Compton (Joyce), two nephews, Kristofer Foster and Kendal Foster, two God Daughters Keoshia Davidson and Otisicia Guillory, and a host of cousins and friends.
