Mrs. Beverly Washington Obituary

Beverly Jean Dangerfield Washington was born on November 29, 1945, in Watsonville, California, to Gladys Tolliver and Leonard Dangerfield.  At a young age, Beverly's family relocated to West Monroe, Louisiana, where she attended school and lovingly helped care for her younger siblings.  Even then, her strength and nurturing spirit was evidently mighty in love, responsibility, and resilience.  In the mid 1970's , Beverly moved to Houston, TX, where she began building a life of her own.  It was there she met the love of her life, Ernest Washington, whom she married in 1985.  Beverly found her greatest joy in being a homemaker, devoting herself to supporting her nine children and cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren.  She found joy in thrifting, gardening, preparing soul food meals for her family, spending long hours on the phone with loved ones, listening to blues music and spending time with family.  In life's simple pleasures, she poured love into everyone around her.  She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Barbara Golden (Tony), Willis Manning, Christine Smiles (Raymond), and Michael Manning; her children: Donald Ross (Valerie Ross), Stephanie Ross, Darrell Dangerfield, Pamela Dangerfield, Corey Dangerfield, and Amanda George (Michael George); along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Washington; her parents, Gladys and Leonard Dangerfield; her siblings, Kirby Dangerfield, Pamela Sanders, Robert Earl Dangerfield and Leonard James Dangerfield; her children, Cedric Dangerfield, Prentice Dangerfield, and Evangeline Ross; and her grandson, Lamont Dangerfield and great grandson Nasir Thomas.  Small buy mighty, Beverly's love and legacy will live on in every life she touched.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.  May she rest peacefully in God's embrace, reunited with those who have gone before her and surrounded by everlasting love.
