Throughout her life she held several passions, her greatest or most prized was her family which sweetly intertwined with her next which was cooking, her culinary skills was legendary.   Especially when it came to Caribbean cuisine like roti and curry, callaloo and cabbage and rice.  Whether it was the aroma of curry filling the kitchen or the sizzle of frying plantains, her cooking was a celebration of her heritage, she also had a knack for ceramics.  She was able to craft the most beautiful pieces, from vases to intricately designed decor. Her talent also extended to sewing, macrame and crafting delicate and unique paper as well as nylon flowers, every piece of those flowers was a testament of her creativity and patience.

As we reflect on her life, let us reflect on the true meaning of love, courage, and perseverance.  Her presence may no longer be with us, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.

Rest peacefully, Dorothy.  You will be dearly missed and always lovingly remembered.
