Mrs. Helen L. Jones

The sun rose in Forth Worth, Texas August 17, 1948, bringing a new day and a new life. Helen Louise Bridges was born to Thel Doris Darden-Mason and Elmer T. Bridges. Her formative childhood was spent in Lake Como Tx, where she attended the local public school.

Helen Bridges Jones accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Ernest Hodges, where she faithfully served and was a part of various gospel groups. November 4, 1966 she married the love of her life they shared 55 wonderful years together. In 1974 they joined the Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her illness.

On November 15, 2024 Helen Bridges Jones was visited by the angel of death and she departed this life. Her passing brought sadness to the hearts of all who loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memories. Children, James Jones Jr. (Kim), MaShone Jones (Carla), Helena Pruitt (Lepoleon), Melcon Jones (Cometra); 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, six sister in laws , Inatha, Bernice, Ora, Loretha, Mary, Debra, four god children, a play sister Rose Bell and the Gethsemane Baptist Church family.
