Norah and her husband, Victor, came to the United States in 2009, from Nigeria. She was the youngest of five siblings. One brother and the rest sisters. Norah had a dream of becoming a nurse so she could care and help others in pain. This however, would take a number of years as she began her family and attended school at the same time. She had her first child William, in 2010, and would continue her studies at San Jacinto College while adding three more children to her family; Deborah in 2012, Victorene in 2014, and Elijah in 2017. Norah achieved her goal and graduated with a nursing degree.
Unfortunately, her career was cut short when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, when she was pregnant with Elijah. She had to make some difficult decisions, but understood the value of each precious life and trusted her LORD. Whatever was His will, she kept her faith.
In November of 2020, during this crazy pandemic, she endured another unsuccessful medical procedure and would eventually be hospitalized in December of 2020.
What a testimony to Norah’s faith; for her husband said she often spoke of how much she LOVED her GOD, would do anything for her GOD, and that she accepted HIS will for her life!
May we all be reminded that we are here in our earthly bodies for really just a brief period of time, but as believers… we will live for eternity with our Lord and Savior! As Psalm 94:19 states “When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul”
What a comfort and blessing to known Norah is at peace and already present in her eternal home.
