Mrs. Rebecca Jefferson Obituary

Life’s Journey

Rebecca Shanay Arceneaux Jefferson “Becky” was born December 26, 1980 in Houston,Texas. She was born to Karen Arceneaux and Carl Raven. And she was blessed with the loving presence and always continuous nurturing of her Grandmother, Vivian Arceneaux from birth until passing.

At the age of 8 weeks Rebecca was christened at Crestmont Park United Methodist Church,by Rev. Perrie Joy Jackson. She faithfully served for the last 14 years at Gracepoint Christian Center under the leadership of Rev. John Handcock. Rebecca was a faithful member of Gracepoint Christian Center where she held the office of church secretary in Houston, Texas.

She graduated with honors from Ross Sterling High School, class of ‘99, where she was a member of the marching band and belonged to numerous other organizations. Following graduation from high school, she attended Texas Southern University. Rebecca’s professional career path led her to many exciting positions. A born leader, she was seldom in a role thatdid not put her in charge of things (whatever the job or title). Rebecca traveled to Germany onnumerous occasions for E-Com.

Rebecca loved life and family. She was always up to any challenge and did not know the meaning of quit. She was loving and giving and devoted to family. And when Jermiah Weatherspoon entered into her life, she took on the role of raising him as her son with unparalleled dedication and love.

Rebecca became a proud member of The Order of the Eastern Star, on April 4, 2004. She moved quickly up the ranks to become Worthy Matron of the Ladies of Bethel #7 and she presently held the position of Grand Recording Secretary for Lily of the Valley Grand Chapter, and once again, her devotion and dedication went above and beyond.
