Shirley Ann Briscoe was born September 4, 1954 in Dallas Texas to the parentage of Lindsey Lee Chattam and Jessie Mary Wade.
She attended school in the DISD school district. Her hobbies were the casino, games rooms, dancing, dressing up, and always helping others. The love Shirley had for her entire family was undeniable. Her personally was infectious, her choice of words were undeniably original, and she was truly a joy to be around. In the early 90s, Shirley relocated to La Grange Texas. She spent several years there before moving to Houston Texas and taking Ravin Thompson and Raeshunda Bonner under her wing.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Lee Briscoe II; father, Lindsey Lee Chattam; mother, Jessie Mary Wade; sister, Mary Lee Payton and brother, Melvin James Wade.
She leaves to mourn her only child and son, Andrew Lee Briscoe III, granddaughter, Ava Lee-Ann Briscoe; sisters. Margaret Eason and Kimberly Wade of Dallas Texas; Danette Wade of Eunice Louisiana; brothers, Ennis Wade (Carmen), and Stanley Wade (Joyce) of Dallas Texas. Shirley also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
