Ms. Ashleigh Miller Obituary

Ashleigh Miller, age 35 of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was born September 15, 1985 to Sharen Miller and Phillip Joshua in Houston, Texas. Ashleigh attended kindergarten through twelfth grade in Mason. She attended Austin Community College and Texas State University in San Marcos, and she studied Psychology and Social Work. Ashleigh understood the value of an education, and she planned to continue her educational Career.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason, and she later joined Summit Workshop Center in Austin. Ashleigh was led by her enduring faith throughout her life. She exemplified love, compassion, strength, grace, and generosity. It was important to Ashleigh that her children grow up with a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. She introduced faith and religion to them at an early age.

Ashleigh began working as a teenager, and she excelled in the areas of customer relations and retail management. Later, she transitioned to administrative support in legal and corporate settings. She continued to recognize a great deal of success in both fields. Ashleigh always wanted to be challenged and to grow professionally, so she accepted a marketing position with Bumble in February 2018. She quickly advanced to an operations coordinator and finally to an Operations Junior Manager. Ashleigh was a highly valued and respected member of the Bumble team for over three years.

Ashleigh is survived by her daughter, Ava Emery, and he son, Ali Black, her sister, Stormy Miller of Austin, Texas, her brothers, Shawn Miller of Cedar Park, Texas, Jamil Jefferson of Mason, Texas, Nick Miller of Brady, Texas, Richard Miller of Oklahoma City, OK, and her mother Sharen Miller-Hicks (Tommy) of Ft. Worth Texas. Ashleigh has a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory always. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Joshua, her grandparents, Sandy and Jake Miller, her aunt, Josephine Jefferson, and her cousin, Mark Revada.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the prayers, cards, calls, and warm acts of kindness during this time. We would especially like to thank Ashleigh's best friends, Amanda, Felicia, and Jasmine for planning her Celebration of Life. She loved you all so much and I know that her heart is so full because of all that you have done to honor her. We feel blessed to have so many wonderful family members and friends. Thank you for reminding us of just how many lives Ashleigh touched. This means more than you will ever know. May god bless and keep you all.
