Ms. LaTresha Belson Obituary

LaTresha Belson was born on April 30, 1972, and on September 23, 2022, GOD, in accordance with his sovereign plan called her from her earthly home to be with Him in Heaven.

It was apparent that LaTresha was a special child: bright, inquisitive, and would make her presence known. LaTresha was baptized at the age of seven at St. Mark Baptist Church by Pastor Fleeks, Houston Texas. She was an active member of the church, always present at events and activities.

LaTresha loved senior people, especially her grandmother, who played an important part in her development.

LaTresha attended Ridegate Elementary, Missouri City Junior High and Willowridge High School, taking advanced classes. She was in the marching band, and participated in a variety of school activities. LaTreshaattended Texas Southern University, majoring in business, creating her entrepreneurial dreams.

LaTresha was determined, and always worked two jobs. Her first job was at AstroWorld . She had several business contracts awarded to her by the city of Houston. She was a loyal and dedicated employee of Kelsey-Seybold.

LaTresha loved life and people, and it was easy for her to make friends. Her friends would often say that knowing Tres made them, a better person. LaTreshawas very creative. She loved painting, art, museums and designer hand bags. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboy fan. She also loved Prince which evolved into her love of purple.

Tres, had a special relationship with her mother, Loreli. She especially loved to take road trips and would often surprise her, with “mother-daughter trips”.

LaTresha and Lori had a strong bond and were wonderful sisters and friends. She was the typical big sister, giving Lori advice and helping in any way she could. Tres insisted on Lori going back to school pursing her dream in nursing. It brought LaTresha great joy and satisfaction to watch her nephews, Isaiah and Noah, grow up. She helped them, chastised them, andwas a second mother to them. They loved her, too, and affectionately called her Ant-Nay.

Morris, her dad, taught LaTresha to drive a standard shift, and for years a standard shift is all she would buy. They would talk business, money, stocks, investments,

Politics, The Bible, Church, her birthday presents….hedeposited so many values into her life.

LaTresha had a long-term goal of owning her own home. She worked hard, saving for several years andby God grace, her determination and hard work finally paid off. She was able to purchase her new home. To God be the glory.

Praise GOD for the time HE gave us with LaTresha.

LaTresha A. Belson, preceded in death by her (Maternal Grandmother) Laura Mae Varnado Isaac, and (Paternal Grandmother) Everleaner Gipson George.

LaTresha leaves in God’s care her loving parents, Loreli and Morris George, Houston, Texas; her sister, Lori A.
