Tiara Marsinae Smith was the first and only daughter born to Torrence Smith and Patara "Tara" Boyd. She was born on August 15, 1988, in Houston, Texas, carrying a light that would touch countless lives. From an early age, Tiara was known for her love, laughter, and genuine warmth, which made everyone feel welcome.
Tiara proudly graduated from Alief Elsik High School, Class of 2006, where she built lasting friendships, and later attended the University of Houston- Downtown, continuing her pursuit of personal and academic growth.
Faith was a cornerstone of Tiara's life. She accepted Christ at a young age and became a devoted member of Harvest Time Evangelistic Center on Veterans Memorial in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of Bishop Shelton Bady. Joining the church at just three years old alongside her mother, Tiara maintained a lifelong connection to her church family, often proudly saying that Harvest Time was her church and Bishop Bady was her Pastor.
Tiara found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking and proudly embraced couponing as "her thing." With her infectious humor, open heart, and radiant smile, Tiara easily formed friendships and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Tiara's greatest joy was being a devoted mother to her beloved son, Josiah Maurice Bowser-Smith. He was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into ensuring he was loved, protected, and cared for in every way.
Tiara worked for Randalls as an E-commerce Manager for three years, where she was admired for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and kind spirit. She earned the respect of both co-workers and customers, leaving a lasting, positive impact.
Tiara was peacefully called home on February 2, 2026. Though her time on earth was far too short, her legacy of love, faith, laughter, and devotion will continue to live on in the lives of those whom she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Torrence Smith and Patara "Tara" Boyd; her son, Josiah Bowser-Smith; her grandmother, Dolores Gabriel; her sisters, Raven Adams (Christopher), Lesly Boyd, Naomi Syrie, Diamonde Hensley, Torria Smith, Deja Smith, and Tiana Shelton; her nephew, Luka Adams; her nieces, Jade Smith, Taryn Smith, and Dillyn Hensley; her close friend, Jaila James; and a host of family and friends.
Special acknowledgments are extended to her cousins, Shayna and Previn Lincoln, and Ashley Bowie, who all held a very special place in Tiara's heart.
