Cynthia Hargrove Daniels, age 69, entered eternal rest and was welcomed into glory on September 26, 2025. A woman of unwavering faith, boundless creativity, and deep love for her family, Cynthia’s life was a testimony of grace, strength, and joyful service.
Born on March 7, 1956, to the late Samuel and Alice Hargrove, Cynthia grew up a shy and relatively quiet kid. As she grew older, she developed a love for the outdoors, hands that could craft and cook with excellence, and a heart that would one day shepherd many. Her passions included fishing, painting, crafting, cooking, and hosting family gatherings, each a reflection of the care and joy she poured into others.
Cynthia answered the call of God on her life in both word and deed by becoming the Pastor of Overcoming Faith Ministries, taking up the mantle of her late husband, Apostle F. L. Daniels. Through her 13 years of leadership, teaching, and example, she led others to Christ and inspired many to walk boldly in faith. She was a leader and a warrior in the Spirit, known for her wisdom and unwavering devotion to God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Apostle Freddie Lee Daniels, Sr.; her parents, Samuel and Alice Hargrove; and four of her siblings. Though she will be deeply missed, her light lives on in the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
Cynthia’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving children: Eulonda Hatter, Cassandra Daniels, Emmanuel Daniels, and Joanna Coatney, and her bonus children: Jacqueline Lockett, Anita Daniels, Shantrise Daniels, and Freddie Daniels, Jr. She was the proud and joyful grandmother of nine: Alton, Au’Rion, Brianna, Thomas Jr., Javion, Zuri, Lilly, Vecenté III, and Jaxon. She is also survived by four siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and dear friends who will continue to celebrate her life and honor her legacy.
